I’m a Writer because I can’t not write and I’m a Speaker because I can’t shut up.

I’m a lover of all things words and alliteration makes me giddy.

Public speaking is most people’s greatest fear, and yet for me. speaking is when I feel most alive.

Early mornings are my favorite and my big fat Jesus chair feels like home. 

I don’t believe good days start without good coffee and I’m a bit of a healthy-facts nut.

I’ve been married to my hubby Kent for over 30 years and since neither of us feel much older than that, it’s hard for us to believe. We have three amazing kids, one fabulous daughter-in-law, one awesome son-in-law, and one perfect grandson. Time spent with them is our most favorite time of all. We call the southwest corner of Minnesota home.

Those who know me would call me an Extrovert, but actually, I’m an Introvert who loves people. My pre-dawn hours spent alone with God each morning are what renew, rehydrate, and revive my spirit.

I care deeply about the mind-body-soul connection, and I believe we are all far more alike than we think. I believe God gave us our flesh to show us what our soul needs, things like food and water and rest and shelter and stillness and movement, so I love sitting with Jesus each morning AND I love getting off my butt and heading out on my walk. I don’t believe in sugar-coating but I do believe in grace. I’m not a fan of processed food and I’m not a fan of processed posts. I read the bible through from beginning to end for the first time at the age of 40 and I haven’t put it down since. I am constantly learning, unlearning, and relearning anew, and for that I am grateful.
